The Durocher Library opened in September 2010. It is an attractive, comfortable place for study research, and reading. It is open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday when classes are in session. It is staffed by library technicians Ms. Sheryl Chongva and Ms. Kelsey Jennings. “We believe that the library can significantly improve the learning experience and quality for St. Mary’s students and support the staff in their goal of preparing young women for their futures.”
The SMA library has a continually evolving collection of books, periodicals, non-print and on-line resource materials to support and enriches the curriculum, and provide recreational reading for students and staff. It is the goal of the library to promote reading and research for knowledge and pleasure, as well as to instruct students in the necessary information gathering skills which students will need to become life-long learners.
Computers in the library and the adjacent computer lab may be used by students throughout the day, providing access to the Internet, online databases, and the library's online catalogue which can also be accessed from computers throughout the school and at home.
Students and staff can access the Library Resources site through the SMA Net Login.

The Durocher Library is named in honour of Blessed Marie Rose Durocher. Her vision that an entire society can be transformed if the minds and hearts of young women are properly formed, inspires the work at St. Mary's Academy. Learn more . . .
